Murmurances is a collection of pieces produced between early September and early November, 2015 (with the exception of murmurance 1 – July/August 2015). This album is in some senses an elaboration of portraits, lso’s first ep; it differs in that the original core ideas and themes are ‘played around with’ in a somewhat unusual way in this album, in a different way in each track.
Portraits was intended as a fairly calm and somewhat ambient ep; this album – while containing a considerable amount of music that could comfortably be considered ambient – has a number of more dissonant and ‘louder’ (perhaps more intense) tracks too: it’s not an ambient album.
As of writing this, it’s likely that lso will continue in a slightly different form.

This album makes you feel like you're inside an old computer that is on it's last legs. Everything is glitchy, aggressive, and decaying around you. There are only a few moments where it feels something is still functioning and intact, only to be followed by more sounds of disrepair. Truly a special experience. icu8some2
